Can Clenil Modulite Cause Pain And Bleeding During Bowel Movement?

Hello, I am using Clenil Modulite 100 - prescribed by my GP for a lung function problem, I have now been using it a month, and for three weeks I have had some pain and bleeding when defecating (hard stools?) - is this one of the side effects? - it is not listed in the leaflet I received with the medication.

Clenil Modulite 100mcg is an inhaled medication used to treat asthma. It contains the active ingredient, beclometasone dipropionate. This is a type of corticosteroid which decreases inflammation. This type of steroid is only marginally absorbed into the blood as most of it works and stays within the lungs. This should not in any way cause pain or bleeding while defecating.

In my experience prescribing similar medications I have not see these symptoms associated with this medication. I would recommend that you follow with your primary doctor to explore other potential causes for your current symptoms. I do hope this helps in some way at least narrow down the possibilities for you.
