Hello, Welcome to Health Care Magic

I can understand your concern. Citalopram is a SSRI drug and the drug acts by increasing the serotonin neurotransmission in brain. In most of individuals the drug cause not much effect on sleep or result in mild insomnia. But in some individuals the drug results in drowsiness so may induce sleep. So if the drug is resulting in drowsiness in you then in such case you can take the drug the drug in evening hours. There is no risk in taking the drug in evening. This would not cause any risk in driving.

Please take your medicines in prescribed doses only.

Thanks, hope this helps you
