Can Cipro Be Taken While Suffering From Tendonitis?

I was prescribed cipro for my uti. I am undergoing physical therapy for tendonitis and muscle weakness in one of my shoulders. I noticed that cipro has cautions about a person having tendonitis in the past. Then I had my doctor call in bactrium. Should I be panicking about the tendonitis side effects in cipro?
