Can Benadryl Be Taken For Sleep If Suffering From Mild Concussion?

Hi, my daughter "might" have a slight concussion after falling backward off the stairs this evening. She also has a bad head cold with asthma that I'm trying to take care of and I'm wondering if I can give her any Benadryl before bedtime to help dry her out while sleeping.

Hi , I would not recommend you to take Benadryl as this drug causes drowsiness and dizziness and you had concussion injury to head .
You may have postconcussion symptoms aggravated if you take Benadryl on your own.
If I would have been your doctor I would suggest you to take physician consultation for cold with asthma .
Advised to consult pulmonologist and neurosurgeon
