Can BP Cause Painful Swelling In Legs And Ankles?

I ve been diagnosed with bp and im currently on 9 steriods daily oxytetracycline 2 twice daily and azathioprine 3 and a half tabs at night. At the moment im having a severe outbreak of blisters on my legs knees toes and hands but my legs and ankles are very swollen and painful. Is this due to the bp?

hello and thanks for trusting health care magic . although raised blood pressure itself do not cause ankle edema but can bea contributing factor by causing damage to kidneys. Ankle edema in your case is most probably due to steroids whislch cause water retention in body.
