Hello.

I strongly recommend you to stop giving your daughter Tab. Attentrol 18 mg immediately. It is unsafe to take any medicine without consulting a medical. By doing this your risking your child's safety and putting her health in danger.

I understand, as a parent you want your child to learn things for their better future. But you must understand, each child is different and some children learn at their own pace. We must remember, the most successful and intelligent people in history did things differently then the rest of the people their age.

It takes a detailed examination, understanding and a great deal of knowledge to diagnose children with ADHD. The choice of medication, dose, frequency and behavioral therapy is a part of treatment plan which should be dealt by an expert. By self prescribing you might be causing severe mental and physical damage to your child's health.

Kindly, consider seeing a psychiatrist and don't risk your child's well being by self diagnosing and medicating. Any child diagnosed with ADHD, will be able to perform well at school, with support of proactive teachers, medical experts and unconditional support from the parents.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ayesha Shareef, General & Family Physician
