Can Atenolol Be Abruptly Discontinued?

I have been on 12.5 mg 1x daily Atenolol for blood pressure. My doc indicated that treatment for BP below 110 systolic is not indicated with the drug. I have been off of it for a week now after reaching 110/68. I was feeling quite fatigued at that point. So decided to stop. I am also in a weight loss program (only for about 10 lbs total). Are there any post treatment side effects for discontinuing the drug? Thanks, Scott

hello,
this a very low dose and can be stopped. Probably there will not any symptoms post stopping as it's a very low dose. Hope this helps you.
