Can Atenolol, Benazepril And Captopril Be Taken Together?

Hi, I have a high blood pressure and I just changed my medications to be able to lower it. I continue taking atenolol, but instead of benazepril I started taking amlodipine and captopril. I would like to know if Is it ok to take all thee medications each day. I would like to know as well when I should take each medication. Which one in the morning, which one in the afternoon and at night. Please respond. Thank you.

Hi,
You can take atenolol, captopril and amlodipine together. There are no major drug interactions between them. The dose and frequency of the above drugs should be adjusted based on blood pressure.
If you are taking all of them once daily, you can take all of them in the morning and captopril is preferably taken 1 hour before food. Or else you can take atenolol and amlodipine in the morning and captopril in the afternoon before meals. I would advice to take them regularly at same intervals.
Do have your regular blood pressure examinations and continue the medications as prescribed. I hope the above information helps. Thanks.
