Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Aleve is a brand name of Naproxen and it is belongs to the family of analgesics known as NSAIDs. It is relatively safe when compared to common analgesics like Diclofenac and Ibuprofen. Prolonged use of more than six months is not recommended due to gastritis and related side effects. Prolonged use can also cause cardiovascular side effects like angina and stroke. You can consult a rheumatologist for expert opinion.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.
