Can Agent Orange Exposure Cause Cancer?

My husband recently had a CT scan. It was ordered because of low platelets in his blood. They called today and said there is a spot on his lung so they are having him see a pulmonary doctor. He has never smoked but was exposed to agent Orange during the Vietnam war. Has diabetes because of it. Can agent Orange cause lung cancer.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, Agent Orange can cause lung cancer. But the spot can be some other pathology so let the doctor make the diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi,
