Can Advil And Spironolactone Be Taken Together?

I understand that taking ibuprofen with spironolactone causes increases in potassium levels and I have been taking Tylenol instead. However, I just had a root canal procedure and it was suggested that I take Advil to address inflammation. Is it okay that I use it on a short-term basis?

Hi,

You are right aldactone can cause high potassium. However it does not cause any concern when taken with advil. You can take advil with it for few days without any worries.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
