Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

A diagnosis of infiltrative squamous cell carcinoma of distal esophagus relates to cancer of the lower end of food pipe where it joins with the stomach.

Any cancer is not predictable in course and requires proper possible treatment with chemotherapy, radiation and/ or surgery. He may not have pain but his general health is going down.

I suggest you consult a good cancer hospital in your area and take necessary treatment.

Hope this helps
