Burning Sensation While Urination. Had A Spinal Surgery In The Past For Difficulty In Urination. High Urea Levels. How To Lower This?

HELLO SIR, MY DAD HAS GONE THROUGH A SPINE SURGERY 6MTHS BEFORE DUE TO THE REASON THAT HE COULD NOT URINATE NORMALLY. AFTER A LONG TIME NOW HE CAN URINATE BUT WITH BURNING SENSATION. HIS CURRENT BLOOD TEST SHOWS THAT CREATININE LEVEL IS 1.6MG & UREA IS @ 36 PLEASE GUIDE ME FURTHER WHAT CAN BE DONE TO LOWER DOWN HIS UREA LEVEL

Hi and welcome to HCM. I am not sure why most questions are asked to male doctors only??? There are a lot of good female nephrologists and other specialists who might take offence if you guys keep addressing questions with 'Sir'!!! Jokes apart...... You have only given me a small bite of information which is insufficient to give any opinion. Only careful study of your dad's previous investigations and post op investigations will help us advice you the best course of action. Most importantly I need to know how well the bladder is emptying now which can be assessed by a blddder ultrasound scan pre and post void of urine. This is just one of the tests that will help me in giving you an advice. Best wishes, RB
