Bump In Corner Of Mouth, Swollen, Difficulty In Eating, Tooth Pain. What Could Be Done To Stop Pain?
For a while I had just a tiny painless bump in the corner of my mouth and I didn't think anything of it so I didn't worry about it but now the bump has swollen and is very painful and I can hardly open my mouth to eat or talk . Also I have been experiencing pain in my back tooth . Is there anything I can do to stop the pain .

Hello, Thanks for writing to us.
The fact that your pain is occurring is due to abscessed tooth. If you have an abscessed tooth, your dentist may give you antibiotics to kill the bacteria that is causing the infection. Antibiotics may help for a while. But to get rid of the abscess, your dentist will need to get rid of the source of infection. This is done by making a hole in the tooth or gum to drain the infection. Usually this will relieve your pain. If the inside of your tooth is infected, you will need a root canal.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
