Born Baby Who Is In Withdrawal From Methadone, Which The Mother Was Taking It. Suggestion?
Hello, we are in need of a Doctor who knows what they are doing to help a newborn who was born last week there in Springfield missouri , who is in withdrawal from methadone , to which the mother was on it and was told not to go off it until after the birth and the family is wanting him to see a doctor right away , that can help him??

If it has been a week that the baby was born and there is no untoward effect on the baby then there is nothing to worry.
It is really surprising why the obstetrician allow the mother to have the drugs at all. They should have been weaned off and long before.
