Blood In Urine, Red Spotty Rashes On Feet And Arms. Prescribed Antibiotics. Is This Any Reaction?

I have just finished a course of antibiotics Trimethoprim for a suspected UTI - i had pain on passing urine approx ten days ago and passed blood. I was started on the antibiotics and a urine sample was sent away. It has come clear. I have now finished the antibiotic but notice that i have a red spotty rash which started on my feet - first noticed on friday, is now on arms, legs around my neck and face - not itching but tingly. Could this be a reaction to antibiotic?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
After going through your history you possibly had Urinary tract infection and took treatment with trimethoprim.
You have developed spotty rash yes it could be due to antibiotic rash, you should stop the drug and contact your treating physician.
If there is any redness and itching you can take antihistamines like OTC Diphenhydramine.
Other differential may be viral rash, or petechiae due to low platelet count which need s to be examined and investigated to confirm.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
Good Luck.
