Blood During Bowel Movement. Anything Wrong?

Hi my name is adam I noticed a problem 3 to 4 months.ago but payed no attention to it but the last 3 weeks when I go for a poo I sit waitin for it to come out and I feel a ligiud come out of me so when I go.ish I wipe my self and the tissue is jut full of blood and the toliet is bright red I'm frying worried now is this normal or is somethink wrong with me

Hi.Lower gastrointestinal bleeding can be due to hemorrhoids(dilated veins in the anal region), colitis (inflammation of the bowel) or due to some local caused like anal fissure(associated with pain during defecation).Since the cause of the bleeding has to be evaluated by local examination, labs (stool examination) or lower gi endoscopy(if required) I suggest to meet your GP and take his advice.Hope this helps.Get well soon.Take care.
