Bloating, Acidity And Uneasiness After Lunch. Any Solution?

During Holidays i.e. Saturdays and Sundays when I go to sleep after having my lunch during daytime, I invariably have acidity, bloating and uneasiness in the evenings. I ty not to sleep.but sometimes I acnnot resist . Please advise. On normal working days and during night I don t have any problem as such. Please advise.

Hi Nibedita Mahapatra,
Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, it seems that you are having gastritis resulting in increased acid and gas production and its reflux towards the esophagus.
It can be caused by certain foods (which you may be taking during holidays).

You should lead a healthy life style and should follow some precautions like :-
1. Avoid spicy/oily foods.
2. Avoid cigerette/alcohol.
3. Donot miss a meal.
4. Avoid emotional/mental stress.
5. Donot self medicate especially with pain killers and steroids.
6. Avoid gas producing foods like peas, legumes, cabbage, etc.
7. Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water daily.

You can take antacid like Omeprazole 20 mg along with Domperidone 10 mg for relief of your symptoms. Antacid in gel or liquid form is also beneficial.

If the problem persists, get yourself examined and investiagated clinically.
