Best Effective Dosage Of 50 Mg Atenalol

I am prescribed 50 mg atenalol , which I have divided into 2 daily doses, morning & evening. I would like to return to taking the 50 mg in the morning, . How can I manage the change, having taken 25 mg 12 hours before - will a morning dose of 50 mg be too much, for the initial dose? & will taking it this way, once a day, be more effective?. I have found the 2 1/2 doses has become less effective at managing my bp. Regards, J McLaughlan
