Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

The pain is most likely due to either, spasm of the concerned muscle; or, acid reflux.

However, obesity, sedentary habits, smoking and excess alcohol intake are potent risk factors for developing heart disease.

A short course of a Proton Pump Inhibitor, such as, Omeprazole or Pantoprazole along with an anti-inflammatory drug, such as Ibuprofen should give you relief.

Irrespective of the outcome of the suggested treatment, it is strongly advised to undergo TMT/Stress Echocardiography to rule out/detect underlying / undiagnosed heart disease, in view of several risk factors present.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and will prescribe the advised drugs in appropriate doses.

Take care
