Back Cracked Between Shoulder Blades, Shooting Pain, Prescribed Naproxen, Still Uncomfortable. Permanent Cure?
Hi, I was driving on Tuesday last week when my back cracked 3 times between my shoulder blades then I had a shooting pain straight after in the same place. I was I m a lot of pain. I couldn t move my arms easily & was finding it hard to walk comfortably. It was very painful getting in & out of the car, getting dressed etc too. In A&E they told me I had pulled a muscle between my shoulders blades & sent me Homr with codine for the pain & told me to rest. I was still I m pain the next day so I decided on making a docs appointment. She told me the same muscle had gone into a spasm & sent me Home with Valium . By Saturday I was moving more freely & was in a less pain but it was still there. The following Tuesday I had a doc appointment over the phone. He prescribed me with naproxen as I was back to work but still uncomfortable. My back is now feeling a lot better but it s painful at the back of my shoulder still. What ever position I am in I cannot get comfortable. Please help

The pain that you have seems to be due to muscle sprain or a muscle tear. This needs a direct examination and oral muscle relaxants along with hot fomentation for proper relief.

I have read the details given by you.The most probable diagnosis which fits with these symptoms is sprained muscles of the back.At present only analgesic will not help you,You should also take the help of a good physical therapist .He will give infra red therapy,ultasonic therapy & TENS THERAPY.All these will be able to give you a complete relief.
