As soon as I lay down on my back (not completely flat) I start to gurgle as if my lungs were full of fluid, then I cough and bring up something like a small amount of mucus that gets swallowed. When I go in the other room to sit up or get up in the morning, the gurgling pretty much stops. It used to completely go away but as of late I still have a small amount of gurgling, and or cough for a while. I have had this for a very long time year or more, most doctors I have mentioned this to do not seem concerned especially because my lungs apparently seem clear when checked. I am on 5 ltrs of oxygen (at night only) because I have weak breathing muscles so with the gurgling I feel like I cant get my breath. Thank you.
