Arthritis In Elbow,knee,ankle,20mg Of Methotrexate, Lost Bit Hair. Suggestion?

Hi I suffer from arthritis in my elbows, knees and ankles I have been taking 20mg of Methotrexate for about 12mnths now. I have lost a fair bit of my hair, its thinned out a lot. This medication however does work wonders. Im wondering if I will continue losing my hair for the whole time im on this medication or will the side effects subside eventually? :))

hi i think diffuse hair fall is the commonest side effect of methotrexate but as i t is working for ur arthritis it should not be stopped.usually methotrexate depletes the folic acid stores that is the reason og hair fall.hence whenever u use methotrexate folic acid should be supplemented.biotin also should be supplemented if there is significant hair fall
