Are Vitamin Dangerous For Paitentis With Hemochromotosis?

Hi there! I am a 49 year old female with hemochromotosis. I know I cannot consume Vitamin C with meals and must wait for 4 hours to consume it but I am now hearing that you should not take Vitamin A as it can damage your liver. Is this the case?

Hi thank you for posting your query in HMC. haemochromatosis is a condition where there is excess load of iron in the blood. Vitamin c helps in absorption of iron , causing more over load in the blood. But vitamin A has no such effect on it. You can take vitamin A . Hope i have answered your question. If you have any further questions i will be happy to help.
