Are Vaccinations For Pneumonia And Brain Fever Necessary At 4 Months ?
Hi!My child is 4months old.till now we r vaccinating her at right time.now our doctor is saying that there was a separate vaccine for pneumonia& brain fever and it is optional.it must be vaccinated for 4months.can you make me clear about it, whether it is really needed for my child? lack of milk so am not feeding my child. is there any drawbacks to my child health due to this reason?please make me clear.
Hi, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.
Having Less Breast Milk or Less Breast Feeds is not a Predisposing Factor for any disease. Don't worry about that. You may want to speak to your Doctor and ask for Galactogogues which increase the Breast Milk Production. Your Doctor is Talking about Meningococcal and Pneumococcal Vaccination which are Optional Vaccines which are suggested in Special Circumstances and even if you don't get your Kid vaccinated with these there wont be any problem but if you want, you can get her vaccinated for extra protection against these diseases.
Good Luck.

Are Vaccinations For Pneumonia And Brain Fever Necessary At 4 Months ?
Hi, Thanks for writing to health care magic. Hib and pneumococcal vaccines are not included in national immunization schedule in India. It is good if one can afford those vaccines and give to their children. Since they are costly vaccines the pediatrician should discuss with parents before giving them. Breast feeding is ideal for babies. You should breast feed your baby to prevent against infections and better brain growth etc. Hope this helps. Take care.
