Are Urge And Pressure For Frequent Urination Suggestive Of Prostate Cancer?

I have that sort of pain where it feels like I have to urinate , and other times I don t feel much pain, down there but when urinatio g I feel that same sensation of having to urinate. Is there a possibility that this something g other than prostate cancer? Maybe a false alarm, or is it possible it could just be a bladder infection?

Hello
I understand your concern .
Prostate cancer does not usually cause symptoms. To check for prostate cancer, an exam and PSA blood test is done.
Urge to urinate could be a urinary/bladder infection as you mentioned, (checked with a simple urinalysis), and also may indicate an enlarged prostate, (checked with a prostate exam), or could additionally indicate prostatitis, an infection of the prostate itself.
Do you have any back pain, trouble passing urine, fever, or any change in the color of the urine? The answers to these questions will help your doctor decide which test to perform.
Best regards
