Are There Other Alternative Medicines Besides Napra S To Treat Migraine?

Hello , I have migraine problem since 10 yrs, I m presently 35.I have shown myself to a neurologist but it relaples after the prescribed course of medicine.Right now I take Napra S when it triggers frequency is about once a week.Want to know if its the right medicine and major side effects .thanks

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms.

Since you have frequent episodes of headache (> 2 episodes per month), you should be on preventive medications as well. These medicines would reduce the frequency and severity of headaches. Common options are beta blockers, topiramate, divalproex and flunarizine.

Napra is a pain killer that helps reduce the headache. Other options for this are rizatriptan and sumatriptan tablets.
