Are There Glands Behind Ears?

Are there glands behind the ears? My daughter had what appeared to be a cyst behind her left ear and it was very tender, this was 21/2 weeks ago it did not go away but the tenderness subsided. Today an exact same size same location behind the ear developed on the opposite side and is render to touch.

Hi,
It seems that you might be having enlarged tender post auricular lymph nodes.
This can not be a cyst as now appeared on another side as well.
It indicates that there might be having some infection in surrounding area.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
Ok and take care.
