Are There Exercises, Which Help In Alleviating Muscle Cramps In The Thigh?

I m 78 yrs old, in good health, I don t take any meds of any kind. My problem occasionally, is after I play a round of golf that night in bed my left thigh muscle cramps up, so bad that it awakens me where I have to walk around the room to alleviate the cramp. My question is, is there an exercise I could do regularly to prevent this from happening so often in the future?

Hi.. Thanks for asking Health care magic..

You can very well prevent those cramps by ensuring certain things like:

-Drinking plenty of water through out day.. specially after you finish your sport..
-Doing stretch exercises thigh muscles like hamstrings, quadriceps for at least 10 minutes before and after sports or any physical [learn from expert or observe youtube videos]
-Can take carnitine supplements..
-Check for haemoglobin levels, if found less take iron supplements..

Hope my answer helps..
