Are There Any Side Effects Of Taking Albendazole?
My kids were both given albendazole, the elder one, she is 3.5 years old (gave 10ml)and younger one 1.5 years old was given 5 ml. After 3 days, both of them started scratching their anus at night... and i simply cant help, they are so restless. Why is this even after giving anti-worm medication....is this any other infection other than pinworm.... please help

Nothing very significant.It can be repeated after two weeks also.
Anal itching means irrtitation of the anal mucosa by the pin worms.Means further doses are to be repeated.
Hand washing practices to be encouraged.
Anal itching by hands to be avoided.
Eggs of pinworm are sticked in the anal mucosa and by scratching they can reach the mouth through hands.
