Are There Any Side Effects From Betamethasone Dipropionate And Zinc Sulphate Lotion?

i had been advised to use betamethasone dipropionate and zinc sulphate lotion as i was having lots on dandruff on crown of my head and was having itchy face with dry patches all above the face especially cheeks. will it be of any help or does have any harmful effects? kindly suggest the right time and way to use it.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Seborrheic dermatitis commonly referred to as Dandruff.
It can occur due to causes like Fungal infection, change in climatic conditions, poor immunity, genetics etc..

The medication that is steroid lotion Betamethasone and Zinc sulphate lotion advised to you is appropriate and you should continue with the same but do not continue steroid for a long time without consulting your treating physician as it can have side effects on long term use..

You should also wash your scalp with shampoo containing Ketoconazole, Coal tar, sulfide, zinc, selenium etc..
You should keep the scalp clean..
You can also be advised Pimecrolimus lotion and PUVA light therapy for relief..
