Are There Any Side Effects For These Medicines?

dr has put me on numerous drugs most reasent are isosorbmono er 30 mg tabs conserned about inter actions other meds are dilitizemerc(cartiaxt) 240 mg,simvastatin40mg,clopidogril75mg,metformin500alegra 60mh/120mgpudoephdrine,and nitro for angina . Seem like yoo many drugs to me please advise.

CartiaXT (diltiazem) has an interaction with simvastatin. CartiaXT can increase the levels and effects produced by simvastatin. I would restrict the dose of simvastatin to 10mg in my patients to avoid any adverse reactions.
CartiaXT can decrease the effect of clopidogrel by decreasing the level of active metabolite of clopidogrel that is required for its action. Here, close monitoring is required when these drugs are combined.
CartiaXT can increase the levels of Allegra (Fexofenadine) and metformin. But the level of increase and its effect is not significant clinically. Simvastatin can also increase Allegra's level but agin it is not significant.
