Are There Any Drug Interactions Between Colchicine, Glimepiride, Atorvastatin And Clonazepam?

My 80 year old dad is taking 8 drugs daily and no one is overseeing them: Amiodarone HCL, Colchicine, Glimepiride, Metformin HCL, Atorvastatin, Xarelto, Centrum Silver, Zyrte, (Aleive), Clonazepam, Metoprolol Tartrate. I don t believe any of his doctors have the full pic. Can there be problems mixing any of these drugs???

Atorvastatin and colchicine when given together, they may increase the effects of many other drugs in body. Atorvastatin itself may also increse the effects of colchicine.



Amiodrine when given woth other drugs may increase the effects of many other drugs through a process having the basis that pharmacologically some substances work like others and is called pharmacological synergism.

Amiodarone may raise the levels of Atorvastatin, Metformim, Metoprolol and Colchicine.



Final suggestion:-

Close monitoring is very important otherwise life threatening interactions between medicationsin cause troubles.
