Are The Contents In Albuterol The Same As In Ventolin?

i HAVE BEEN TAKING A FEW PUFFS A DAY OF VENTOLIN WHICH COMES IN A SMALL SIZE NOW AND PRICE HAS GONE UP. i USED TO BE ABLE TO GET IT IN A LARGE SIZE 200 METERED DOSES AND IT COST THE SAME THING AS THE SMALLER ONE NOW. i WAS ON A CRUISE AND PURCHASED ASTHALIN IN A 200 METER SIZE AND IT DOES THE SAME THING THAT THE VENTOLIN DOES, THEREFOR i AM NO LONGER GOING TO USE THE SMALL VENTOLIN AND WILL STOCK UP WHEN MYSELF OR FRIENDS GO ON A CRUISE. i PURCHASED THE LAST ONE IN BELIZE.
i WANT TO KNOW IF IT IS THE SAME AS THE ALBUTEROL THAT IS IN VENTOLIN

Asthalin (pharmacologically Salbutamol) & Ventolin (pharmacologically Albuterol) both are basically one and the same.
In fact, Albuterol is the United States Adopted Name (USAN) for Salbutamol.
There is no doubt that you were able to achieve same therapeutic result from Asthalin as with Ventolin, as you were using the same medication.
Kindly continue it as advised by your treating Doctor.
