Are Stretch Marks, Salicylate Intolerance And Rashes On The Face Due To Collagen Deficiency?

my daughter is 15 and has severe stretch marks. She also has a severe salicylate intolerance. She has rash of some kind on her face right now that isn t going away and I remember her as a baby having a diaper rash that just would not go away. She was a dancer but stopped because her ankle has constant inflammation. Just wondering if these all tie in to some kind of collagen deficiency or skin condition

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think, your girl may have a collagen disease, but this should be determined by autoimmune analysis and other examinations such anti-ANA. Lupus is a possibility. The treatment depends on disease and grade.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
