Are Sore Vagina And Mild Bleeding Post Sex During Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?

Hi, I m almost 17 weeks pregnant. My husband and I were just having intercourse and after he realized there was blood on me, I then grabbed a few tissues to see how bad the bleeding was and it didn t seem to just be spotting, nor was it just flowing out either. I went to the bathroom and tried cleaning up and I continued to have some bleeding. I now have a pad on so I can monitor the bleeding and it seems to get lighter but my vagina is sore and I m starting to get upper belly pains. I don t know if it s just me stressing myself out though. This is my first pregancy. Any answers or suggestions will be helpful. Thank you!

I have read your description and understand your concern.
Since you are having symptoms of sore vagina and bleeding after intercourse while you are pregnant, it is advisable to seek medical attention by getting examined to make sure that it is out of danger.
Since the bleeding is slight, it could be due to vaginal mucosal injuries caused due to mechanical force.
You need to be extremely cautious and not to go rough during intercourse while you are pregnant.
Kindly do not ignore and consult Gynaecologist in this regard for clinical examination and advise.
