Swollen throat with white patches is not necessarily due to STD cause. An ordinary Strepto or Staphylococcal sore throat can occur following an intimate contact or through oral sex. As there was oral sex, the possibility of STD infection have to be ruled out with careful examination and necessary investigations (Throat swab and culture test). So consult your physician, he/she will guide you for further management. Get well soon. Blood tests for HIV/STD have to be done after window period to rule out HIV/STD as you had unprotected sex.
