Are Small Patches And Rashes On Fingers, arms And Elbows Suggestive Of Having Eczema?
Hi, I was diagnosed with scabies three weeks ago and did two treatments of permethrin 5% a week apart and left on for 12hrs. I live with my boyfriend and 1 year old son who doesn t have symptoms so our doctor said they don t have to be treated. Before I was diagnosed Id seen several doctors about the condition. Each told me it was eczema. It started out as a small patch on one finger which gradually spread to three fingers and I broke out in a rash all up and down both of my arms with a bright red rash in the inner elbows. It became really bad so I went to an urgent care where they finally diagnosed me with it after 3 months of this nightmare. My questions are how is it that its been going on with me so long and my son and boyfriend haven t had any symptoms? Also how do I know if I m healing because I m still very itchy and the rash hasn t gone away and although I ve seen somewhat of a difference for the better I still feel like there in my skin I think I see burrows but they look like there dried out maybe? Is that a signor any sign of burrow means there still there?I cleaned the floors in our home, vacuumed the mattress moved the bed so I vacuumed the entire area of the floor underneath. Also vacuumed and washed the coaches with soap and all clothing was washed and dried on high heat and bagged immediately after. There still in the bags along with all blankets and even took it so far as to filling the tub with bleach and cleaning all of my sons toys. I don t understand how they could still be living.
as mentioned by doctor it may be scabies. it is to be treated with benzyl e benzoate. and utmost hygiene is is to be maintained. change the linen and clothing every day cleaned and sundry.should be isolated. other probability in your case is psoriasis. can take second opinion and get confirmed diagnosis.
