Are Skin Tags In Throat Common And How Is It Removed?

I was recently told that i may have a skin tag in the back of my throat.I have an appointment with an ENT on monday. I was wondering if this is a common thing and how wud the doctor go about removing it. Also will they biopsy the tag to check for cancer?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The tissue tag fro, the throat can be because of the fungal infection like candidiasis. Nothing to be panic, it is not a cancer. Consult and ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. If it is a candidiasis, then you can use topical antifungal agents like clotrimazole. Do saline gargling and maintain oral hygiene.
