Are Shortness Of Breath, Painful Lump In The Throat And Difficulty In Swallowing Side Effects Of Taking Steroids?

I took steriods for about 10 days and felt shortness of breath and a lump on right side only In my throat. I missed 2 days of 30mg and started again Monday am when i remembered and now by Weds i habe the lump again. Painful to bend over and annying to swallow. I can breathe but its annoying and nexk hurts now. Is This normal? I have two weeks left of the steriods for the allergic reaction i had.

Hello,

The symptoms don't seem to be related to side effects of Steroids.

The symptoms seem to be related to tonsillitis which is an inflammation and infection of the tonsils.

I suggest a physical examination to confirm the diagnosis.

If the diagnosis is confirmed, I suggest using antibiotics such as Augmentin to treat the infection.

I also suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the symptoms.
