Are Runny Nose, Dry Cough, Low-grade Fever And Stomach Pain Causes For Concern?

My 4 n half years son has frequent cold.He has runny nose from 6 days, coughing also began (seems dry) from yesterday.today he complained stomach pain (although ate and behave as usual)..also had low fever tonight.Given Ibugesic for fever and ambrodil s for coughing. Kindly guide is there anything serious and also suggest right cure.

Hi,

Recurrent cold in a child indicates all.ergic in origin. At present he also has slight fever &cough too..
- Recurrent health problems definitely need concern in babies ..as such health problems can affect ntrition & their physucal & intelectual development.
- He should take rest/drink warm water.
Hot saline gargles /vapor inhalation would help recovery.
- Fever &stomoch ache can be due to stress of coughing.OR secondary bacterial infection .
- Baby certainly needs medical attention.consult a child specialist .
He would prescribe needful antubiotic with anti allergic medicine &cough syrup.He would also suggest tretment to prevent recurrent runny nose.
