Are Rashes An Allergic Side Effect Of Calendula Cream Usage?

I got a burn on my shoulder. All I had on hand was Calendula cream. It seemed to soothe it. After using the cream for a couple days I now seem to have a rash around the burn. I am wondering if it is more likely an allergy to the cream or folliculitis from the burn? I ve not used the cream for maybe 4 days now but rash has not even started to go away .... Talia

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
It is more likely of allergic reaction to the calendula cream. Folliculitis will not present like this.
You can apply soft steroid like betamethasone for symptomatic relief.
Generally the symptoms will resolve in couple of days and if persist, you can consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
Wishing you good health.
Thanks
