Are Previously Diagnosed IBS, Transverse Myelitis And POTS Indicative Of Behcet’s Syndrome?

I am a 43 y/o woman with history of IBS, transverse myelitis, POTS, lesions on eyes with redness, recurring acne-like follicular sores on face, recurring lesions on buttocks with scarring, non-healing, painful left tongue sores with visible left tongue inflammation, chronic fatigue syndrome, occasional hip & knee pain, and positive p-anca/mpo levels since 2014. Systemic vasculitis has been ruled out as well as Sjogren s. I have 10% Greek ethnicity. Could I have Behcets?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The Behcet syndrome is an immune mediated small vessel vasculitis condition affecting digestive system, eye site, meninges and clot formations. In my opinion with supportive narrated facts, there is no favor for this to be of Behcet syndrome.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
