Are Painful Ears And Neck With Swollen Glands And Sinus Pressure A Cause For Concern?

Since friday, I have been experiencing hurting down my ears and along side of neck by the ear. feel like gland may be swell. Also, I have been getting up some yellowish mucus. I have some sinus pressure aroud my eyes. I don't seem to be running fever, no body aches or chills. So I see my doctor. I have been taking allergy relief lile bendryl. Also Tyneol.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain hurting of ears and sides of neck with pressure around the eyes and sinus pressure seems to be due to infection in ears and sinuses..
Swollen glands seems to be lymph nodes and they might swell secondary to infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can advise you PNS view x ray of sinuses and also otoscopic examination of the ears to rule out for ear infection..
In case of infection he can advise you antibiotics like Augmentin or Levofloxacin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Motrin, steam inhalations, decongestants nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline and antibiotic ear drops..
