Are Headaches Normal Post Tympanoplasty?

Is it normal to have a headache 48 hours post tympanoplasty? I have taken 800 mg Motrin and a pain pill containing codeine and have yet to experience relief. I am a 45 year old female and stand 5 4 and weigh 117 lbs. I take spironolactone and bc for acne.

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having headache following tympanoplasty. My response to your question is as below.
Headache is because of congestion as nd inflammation induced by the surgery.
This will respond to the use of anti-inflammatory drugs and will decrease as the inflammation induced by surgery will decrease. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope this answers your question.
Do write back to me for further questions.
