Are Fever, Rashes And Cold Sweating Symptoms Of Teething In Infants?

Hi, is it possible to have a fever when teething? Also, my baby has a skin rash all over his body and face. What would be the possible cause of the rash? He has a cold sweating in a cold temperature, is it normal? Looking forward to your response. Thank you and have a great day ahead.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a mild fever can be seen during teething but in case if there is fever along with rashes there can be a number of causes and the most common one is viral infections like Hand foot and mouth disease, Roseola, bacterial infection like Impetigo, while causes like heat rash can also be a cause..
I would suggest you not to delay and immediately consult a Paediatrician or an Infectious Medicine Specialist and get evaluated and a clinical examination and blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised treatment depending upon cause..
As of now you can give him tylenol to reduce fever and also do cool compresses over rashes to relieve itching and discomfort..
You can also be advised antiviral or antibiotics depending upon the cause..
