Are Elevated Cholesterol And BP Levels Symptoms Of Atherosclerosis?

I am 77 y.o male. I have visited my doctor yesterday. On my visit summary I have noted Artherosclerosis of aorta Doctor did not tell me anything about this problem and I did not know how she find out. I did not complain of any heart problems. She only said that my cholesterol is elevated (240 with HDL 55, ratio 4.5), BMI 25.06kg/m2, never smoke. She also said that my BP 140/80 is going higher for the last couple years. Is it enough data for this diagnosis?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, what ever the test you have gone through may not confirmed the atherosclerosis condition and some special test need to be done for that it may be some imagine studies and other, and in absence of symptoms it can not be like that, it is better to see the cardiologist hope this information helps.
