Hello,

You will have to make lifestyle changes. Do regular walking and exercises under a Physical therapist. It will help to reduce pain, stiffness, pain. swelling or inflammation at the joint. If obese, try to lose weight so that pressure at the joints decrease and they become more flexible. Heat and cold therapy are helpful, take adequate sleep.

Your treating doctor will treat you with oral pain relievers like acetaminophen or NSAIDS. Take medicines after food to avoid formation of gas. You will be treated with corticosteroids if needed. Take food rich in turmeric / curcumin, omega 3 fatty acids, food rich in antioxidants, take food rich in calcium, etc. You can also take supplements.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
