Are Body Ache, Thirst And Drowsiness Symptoms Of Diabetes?

Hi, I am tired all the time with body ache, thrist and sleepiness. I was b12 defficient and have taken 5 injections but didn t improve my health much. Then we checked for diabetes, my home test showed positive but both the lab tests showed normal. Please advise.

Hello,

Increased thirst and tiredness are one symptom of diabetes but these are non specific.

Other symptoms such as weight loss and frequent urination should also be there to reach at the diagnosis of diabetes provided lab test are also positive.

To rule out diabetes, HbA1C should also be tested. If HbA1c is negative then thyroid function test should also be done to exclude hypothyroid. I suggest consulting your doctor if diagnosis is still not made.
