Are Black Dots On The Elbows Suggestive Of Fungal Infection?

What could be the cause of the small group of little black dots that have appeared on my husband s elbow recently? He thinks they are a fungus. They do not itch and have not spread. I do not think he has been anywhere where he may have come in contact with any fungus. He is not concerned about these little black dots, but I am. He has had skin cancer removed from his nose in the past.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to keratosis pilaris. If you send a picture of it then it will be more helpful in identifying. Salicylic acid peeling creams and kojic acid creams or soaps will be helpful for this.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
